Choose your cut pace
Snappy makes tight jump cuts for short-form. Natural keeps short pauses so the video breathes.
Updated
Cut pace sets how tight CutGPT's cuts are. Change it in Settings under Editing → Cut pace. Snappy is the default.
| Snappy | Natural | |
|---|---|---|
| Feel | Tight jump cuts, made for short-form | Keeps short pauses so it breathes |
| Pauses that stay | Up to 0.3 s | Up to 0.45 s |
| Kept before a word at each cut | 0.07 s | 0.1 s |
| Kept after a word at each cut | 0.12 s | 0.16 s |
Which one to pick
- Pick Snappy for short-form videos with tight jump cuts.
- Pick Natural if your cuts feel rushed, or if words sound clipped at the edges.
Change the pace of an existing edit
A new cut pace applies to new edits. To re-cut an edit you already made, open it in the web editor and click Reset to CutGPT's cut. It re-cuts with your current settings and undoes any changes you made by hand.
