Get started with CutGPT
What you need, and how to make your first edit on the web or on iPhone.
Updated
CutGPT edits talking-head videos for you. Film one long take, mistakes and all. CutGPT cuts the retakes, restarts, ums and dead air, then adds captions.
What you need
- A video of you talking. One long take is fine, so leave your mistakes in.
- For the web app, a computer with a recent desktop browser. Chrome and Edge work best. Safari needs version 26 or later.
- For the web app, English speech. Other languages aren't supported there yet.
- For iPhone, the CutGPT app.
Your first edit on the web
- Open the web app.
- Drop your video onto the page, or click Choose video. To film one now, click Record and use your computer's camera.
- Keep the tab open while CutGPT works. Your first edit takes longer, because your browser downloads the speech model once.
- Watch the result. The result page lists every cut and the reason for it.
- Click Export to save the video as an MP4.
Your first edit on iPhone
Open the app and film your take. The app asks for camera and microphone access to record, and for permission to add to Photos so it can save your finished edits. Your edits are stored on your iPhone.
