The web app and the iPhone app
CutGPT works in a desktop browser and on iPhone. The two are separate, and edits don't sync.
Updated
You can use CutGPT in two places: the web app in a desktop browser, and the iPhone app. Both decide what to cut with the same rules.
Edits don't sync
The two apps are separate. An edit you make on the web stays in that browser on that computer. An edit you make on iPhone stays on your iPhone. Edits aren't synced between the apps, or between computers and browsers.
How they differ
| Web app | iPhone app | |
|---|---|---|
| Runs on | Your computer, in a desktop browser | Your iPhone |
| Speech recognition | OpenAI's Whisper, in your browser | Apple's on-device speech recognition |
| Edits are stored | In that browser | On your iPhone |
| Finished videos | Exported as MP4 files | Saved to Photos |
| Paying for Pro | Coming soon | Through Apple's App Store |
On the web, CutGPT understands English speech only for now.
For more on where each app keeps your videos, see Where your videos are stored.
