An edit is slow, stuck or interrupted
Keep the tab open while CutGPT works. If an edit was interrupted, start it again.
Updated
The web app makes your edit in your browser, on your computer. Keep the tab open until it's done.
The first edit takes longer
The first time, your browser downloads the speech model before CutGPT can transcribe: about 200 MB on the GPU, or about 80 MB on the CPU. You'll see the download's progress. After that, the model is cached, so later edits skip this step.
Transcription is slow
Without WebGPU, transcription runs on the CPU and takes longer. For the best speed, use a recent desktop Chrome or Edge. You can also switch the speech model to Fast in Settings.
The edit was interrupted
If the tab closes before CutGPT finishes, the edit is marked Interrupted. Open it and click Try again. CutGPT starts again from your original video.
The edit failed
If you see Couldn't cut this video, click Try again. If it keeps failing, contact us or email support@example.com. Tell us which browser you use and what the message says.
